Learning Group for Herbal Applications for Dogs & Cats

Welcome to the beautiful world of herbal learning!

This unique opportunity opens the door to enriching your knowledge and enjoyment of herbal medicine, without the commitment of a full course.

When you join The Herbal Hub, it is an annual payment which grants you access to the group for one year. Once inside, you will find a great deal of material already available, including Herbal Monographs, Medicine Making directions, articles focused on various aspects of health (and nutrition) and, there will be more material added over time. The main purpose of the group is to give you access to educational material specific to dogs (and in future, much more on cats) but also to have access to me, as an educator and support for your journey. I will be available to answer any of your questions on anything related to herbal medicine – with dogs as my specific focus, but also for humans and cats. I am open to discussion of personal cases, although membership cannot replace a full consultation for a dog who needs one. In my experience, members on other groups are seeking knowledge and help that goes beyond what can usually be covered in a group setting but may not need a full consultation. This group will fill that gap perfectly, with in-depth discussion, references, links and always, input from me.

This group is accessible 24/7 from any device, and all the pdfs shared are downloadable, so you can start your own Herbal Learning binder, as many do just use the Facebook Page info and my blog.

If you are passionate about herbs, have wanted to gain more knowledge but not ready to sign up for a full study program, want to use herbs with your own animal family but not sure what is safe and how to administer – this group is for you! It can provide a gateway into more formal education, or it can stand alone as a means of gaining the skills you need to feel confident in your herbal understanding.

What You Will Learn in this Group

Topics covered include the following:

  • Understanding Western Herbalism (as opposed to Chinese)
  • Herbal Actions – how they work and why you need to know them
  • Herbal Energetics – a Western Perspective
  • Working with your “Whole Dog” true holism vs. allopathy
  • How to Build a Home Apothecary
  • Building a First Aid kit for Acute Conditions
  • Preparing and Using your Herbs – when and how to make infusions/decoctions, oxymels, tinctures with alcohol and/or glycerine, making topical medications such as salves and compresses, more
  • Selecting Commercial Products – what entails a good formula, and  how should you choose?
  • Basic Formulation
  • Herbal Safety
  • Plus of course, all kinds of various Monographs and Recipes

Yes, this looks like a lot of information, but the beauty of joining this group is you can pick and choose which areas interest you most, and ask questions of a highly experienced herbalist, open discussions and learn exactly what you need to know (as opposed to a full course where you need to study and pass various tests on all of the above and more).

Herbs have been a great passion of mine for forty years now, and I have been a practicing professional for 25 of those. I am so excited to build this community and support the work of others,  in this most beautiful and powerful work.

Lifetime Membership is just $45.00 Canadian.
